Tellicherry Pepper TGSEB
Tellicherry pepper is named after an Indian port city; the entire area is known for high-quality pepper. The slightly larger, heavy fruits - berries are harvested when particularly ripe, only when they turn yellow-orange; they then turn dark when dried. Tellicherry pepper then has a particularly intense, powerful aroma and differs noticeably in taste from conventional black pepper. Its biting, spicy, finely fruity - lemony, resinous note. The pepper is ideal for flavoring sweet fruit compotes, jams and marmalades, but also goes well with spicy desserts, for flavoring dark meat, game and wild poultry, for dark marinades and sauces, and also with vegetables.
TGSEB = Tellicherry Garbled Special Extra Bold – stands for particularly careful hand selection of the thickest and most beautiful pepper berries after drying.
