Pink mountain salt (coarse)
The crystal salt from Pakistan is one of the best known and most popular natural salts in the world. The natural salt owes its reddish color to its iron oxide content. The pink mountain salt is a rock salt; it was deposited over the course of the earth's history and solidified into sedimentary rock. It is mined in large salt mines in the Salt Mountains, a low mountain range in the Pakistani province of Punjab, around 200 kilometers southwest of the actual Himalayas. The region is one of the largest rock salt deposits in the world. According to legend, the huge salt deposit was discovered by the horses of Alexander the Great's army.
Crystal salt from Pakistan is considered a gift from nature and is an excellent table salt for daily use in the kitchen. The attractive appearance and the mild, distinctive taste make this natural product so popular as table salt.

You use pink mountain salt in your salt mill to release all the aromas of this beautiful salt immediately before enjoying your food. It is used directly on all dishes that are still missing a round, aromatic salt note.
