Green pepper has a light aroma and a pleasantly fresh spiciness that is not overly fiery. Due to the early harvest and the lower degree of ripeness, green pepper has a fresh, herbaceous taste and is less spicy than black or white pepper.
In general, the aroma of pepper is determined by its content of essential oils and its spiciness by the content of the alkaloid piperine.
Use:
Green pepper refines and spicies soups, sauces and salads, but can also be used to garnish cheese platters, for example.

Storage:
Green pepper should be stored dry and ideally airtight to retain its intense aroma for a particularly long time.
