Nutmeg has a full, fresh aroma. Nutmeg smells sweet, reminiscent of camphor and resin. Tastes highly aromatic, but nutmeg has hints of cloves and a deeper, bittersweet wood taste.
Use:
With its intense aroma, nutmeg goes perfectly with egg dishes, fish, seafood, chicken or veal. But it also perfectly rounds off carrots, pumpkin soup or spinach.

Nutmeg should be stored in a cool, dry and ideally airtight place to retain its intense aroma for a particularly long time.
