The sunny yellow hot drink, also called turmeric chai. Until now, the yellow spice was known in European latitudes as the main ingredient in many types of curry. In the teachings of Ayurveda, turmeric is one of the "hot spices".

The plant substance curcumin is responsible for the spice's intense color. Turmeric tea is a warming and delicious drink. While turmeric stands out in curries more for its color than its aroma, the tea mixture of turmeric, cinnamon and lemongrass is clearly the mainstay. At first, turmeric tea tastes sweet and spicy, then the tart, slightly bitter turmeric aroma comes along. Turmeric tea has a wonderful floral scent of lemongrass and tastes pleasantly spicy and sweet. Turmeric chai is a delicious way to incorporate more turmeric into your diet. Refined with a small sip of milk (or plant milk), turmeric tea is also a good alternative to coffee.

Ingredients:

Turmeric (55%), Ceylon cinnamon bark, lemongrass, licorice, black pepper.

Use:

Pour 3 teaspoons per 1 liter of boiling water over it and let it steep for 8-10 minutes.

Storage:

This tea should be stored dry and ideally airtight to retain its intense aroma for a particularly long time.
